[CVALE] Installing Debs...

Thanks Ian.
When I wanted to install the new version of libglib Apt wanted to remove
145 other packages, which had me a little concerned. (I'm guessing
libglib is related to GTK, because it looked like all of my GTK apps
where going to get removed.)
Is there a way to have more than one version of a single Debian package
on my box? Can I get Apt to install the new versions while keeping the
old versions?
Or have I just discovered the Linux version of DLL hell?
Landon

Most of the time, your software will (should) work just fine with
newer versions of libglib and libc6. If you do have a problem, it's
not finding the right revision number or whatnot, you can easily
symlink the current one to the missing lib and it'll work just fine.
But yes, when apt removes a previous package, it will completely
remove it, to my knowledge.
