I've done installs on my wife's laptop w/o a cd-rom drive. I used
Slackware's boot disks to boot and load a driver for a pcmcia nic. From
there you can load Slackware or jump start almost any distro. Hers was a
little faster so I loaded Gentoo. You probably want to stick to
something like Slackware, Debian or a stripped down RedHat. They all
should be able to be loaded via floppy or floppy/network.

Hehe, um, yes the installfest is on the 22nd. The websites up to date
now too :) Unless Kristian speaks up and says we cant it should be on.
