While it is not an automated updater tool. yumex is also a nice GUI tool 
for updating.  Pup just tells you about updates, Yumex allows you to see 
everything available (new packages as well).  Yumex is what Fedorafaq 
recommends, and I second that you take a look at it, and even bookmark 
it.  I always start my FC installs by going through Fedorafaq.org.

While FC5 may seem lacking, I suggest getting the livna repository 
working as it has a ton of things you'll want.  Fedorafaq.org should 
have info on that as well.

I've been using FC for my sole OS for home and server for a number of 
years now.  There are few things I don't have from the extras or livna 
repository that I have to get and build manually.
