[CVALE] Wondering about Ubuntu...

Ubuntu is very nice. My only gripe is the same as my gripe with every most
Linux distros and that is that multi media support is crap from getgo.
There are some automated ways to get mplayer/ totem (with reasonable codex
support), and MP3 support but still it's a pain. But that's across all
distros and usually once you get them installed I like mplayer better than
the media players on Mac/ Windows because it generally plays nearly
everything... Udderwise Ubuntu is great. I like the integration of the
apps, and it's nice that the default install has pretty much everything
that you need to get going.
Ubuntu's package repository is different from Debians because have different
goals than the debian developers. Ubuntu has a smaller repository and they
tend to keep their packages more up to date than Debian. Also Ubuntu has
more frequent releases than Debian.
