[CVALE] Wondering about Ubuntu...

Here's what I think about ubuntu:

I think it's pretty good. But honestly not good enough. Reasons being that
the multimedia support is abysmal, some of the packaging decisions are just
plain STUPID (look at what they did with CUPS) and lastly it's not exactly
debian compatible.

just so you know though, I am a bit of a arch linux fanboy. but I keep it at
a minimum. But the reason I bring it up is because it seems to have one
thing you're looking for. constantly updated packages. the arch repositories
are updated constantly so you get the latest and greatest packages pretty
much the day they're released. It's also got a great package manager.

But anyway, On ubuntu, most of my friends that use debian and then try
ubuntu end up pretty dissatisfied. But you never know.
