[CVALE] cvale Digest, Vol 4, Issue 3

I also agree that the install fest should continue but with one suggestion.
The club should pick one distro that would be the easiest for newbies. It is
obvious that most new Linux users are using Microsoft and they are use to a
graphical environment so the linux distro chosen by the club should be one
that is as user friendly as possible. Right now I am using Ubuntu and
finding that I can do a lot with the graphical interface. It even see the
wireless name of the router and has a easy way to set up the web key. It
also has automatic updates from the Unbutu website. I know Suse is also
working hard  to make their distro user friendly.

You all are also more then welcome to continue using our tasting room for
the monthly meeting, but I do know it is out of the way, so I do suggest
that if you can find a reliable place in Stockton or Tracy I'm sure there
would be a more club members attending. The complaint I have about the
meeting is that there is no agenda and therefore very little learning going
on. I feel that that at every meeting there should be a half hour set aside
to give some basic instruction to newbies. Such as how to install programs,
or how to work with the Text Editor.
