I came to Ubuntu from many years in the Mac and Windows worlds. My 
previous experience was mostly with Fedora and Yellow Dog, and I like 
Ubuntu because it has been more painless to install and seamless to use 
on the aging hardware I have available. It plays nice on the Windows 
network here at work and it gives me fairly easy tweaks. As an example, 
I upgraded to FF from EE yesterday. It did not break a single thing or 
even require any hand-tuning. That's my kind of OS.
