[CVALE] Here's a challenge

Hi, all. I was presented with an NEC Versa 6060 notebook yesterday.  
It was found in an old storage cube at work. This little guy is ten  
years old if he's a day, but he still seems to be working (if any PC  
running Windows 98 can be said to be working). He's got a Pentium  
CPU, 48 MB RAM, and a 2 gig HD.
I'd love to install some variety of Linux, but here's the challenge:  
no CD-ROM, no Ethernet. My only options are a floppy, USB 1.1 port,  
or a 33.6 PCMCIA modem.
Any suggestions are welcome.
