[CVALE] Capturing Video On Linux

Jon,

I was not able to find a solution that worked. (I must admit I didn't
thoroughly pursue USB video drivers for Linux. It looks like this area
of Linux needs a little more time to mature.)

I'm fairly positive that my video camera doesn't have a fire2wire port.
Maybe they make a USB-To-Fire2Wire adapter?

I think this illustrates the importance of knowing your hardware before
you make a purchase, but in this case the camera was a gift from my
great-grandfather, who is not a technical whiz. :]

Landon

P.S. - When I have time to follow up on this and find a solution I will
report back to the list.

Landon-

Did you ever get this figured out? I also have the same issue. I was
waiting to see if anything worked for you. Learning vicariously I
suppose! ;)
