Hi There, first post to the group. My name is Steven btw, and I've been
lurking from Fresno.

I use gentoo, and I find the gentoo wiki extremely helpful. These two
links may lead you in the right direction. Kernel, packages, and confs
should be pretty much the same. There may be a little hair pulling
involved, but it shouldn't be too bad. The instructions outlined are
pretty straight forward.
