It's just way too quiet.
Here are some questions for my fellow CValers:
How much does the success of Linux for the "average" American desktop
user depend on the support for peripheral hardware? Will Linux benefit
or suffer as the cost these gadgets falls, the performance of these
gadgets improves, and the popularity of these gadgets grows?
What is being done to encourage support of these gadgets in Linux? Will
this work be done primarily by Linux "hackers", or will we see more and
more gadget manufacturers stepping up to the plate to support Linux?
What needs to change about the design of Linux or the Linux community to
make this an easier step for manufacturers to take?
Landon
