Subject: Re: [CVALE] Has my mouse virus infected my keyboard?
Landon,
I had this problem a *lot* when I was using a PS2-USB adapter that was
2->1 (KB&Mouse to USB). It was an adapter that let me use my older kb
with a mac. It worked well in the beginning, but after a while it
started flicking and whatnot. Multiple key inputs with one stroke
were common.
Once I got a new USB kb to plug into the box, it worked fine. I
eventually had the same problem the new kb while using a USB kvm
(friggin' POS IOgear!) and my repeated mashings caused me to
eventually wear out several keys, necessitating yet another $250 kb
replacement. *sob*
I guess what I'm trying to say is that some interface adapters can
cause problems with the system. Are you using a kvm or PS2->USB
adapter?
