[CVALE] Suggestion on router and question on my printer...

I've decided to go with the router option for "networking" my Windows
and Linux computer at home.

 

I've got a recommendation for the Buffalo WHR-G54S router and my IT guy
recommended this Linksys

router.

 

Any comments on why one router would be better than the other, besides
price?

 

Also, how do I find out if my printer

lc=e> , a HP 6840, supports "networking"?
