[CVALE] Recommendations For A Linux Notebook

I find myself more and more tied to my Linux computer. :] I'm toying
around with the idea of buying a relatively inexpensive notebook. I
don't need anything for super CPU intensive applications. I really just
need something that can browse the web and run Open Office.

I'd really like to buy a notebook with Linux preinstalled.

Do you guys have any recommendations on the make and model of a notebook
I can try?

How about recommendations for a place of purchase? (I don't mind buying
online from a reputable vendor.)

Is there anything you can share with me about running Linux on a laptop?
(I would really like something with good Java support.)

Is this a good place to go shopping:

Thanks,
