The facility by the airport is free to the public.  Business waste may have to pay a fee.  A web

I've not tried to dispose of electronics for free at the local dump...that's just what I was told on 
the phone.  The laws on this have changed in the last few years but rather than argue with the guy 
at the local dump I just drive to the Stockton airport facility.


A few weeks ago there was a recycling event advertised in Tracy in the parking lot of a grocery 
store. I went home and grabbed a couple of boxes of stuff to recycle.  When I arrived they started 
quoting me prices for the various electronic items I had.  :-(  It turns out it was a FUNDRAISER for 
some local group.  I left without making any "donations".
