[CVALE] esata under linux?

I've seen connectors, cards, and devices for esata (by connectors I
mean onboard), but I have no idea if they prove problematic or not.
One of the motherboards I was looking at for my first
'build-it-yourself' rig in years has esata on the IO panel. If I do
end up procuring this hardware, I'll let you know.
