[CVALE] No Money From Linux Desktop

I have to agree with him.  Look at RH and other commercial
distributions: they make their money off the services they provide in
the server-end market.  You won't make a huge profit from selling
desktop versions of the software, but you can charge all you want for
the services.  If the services are good enough, you'll do just fine.

The one thing I've come to learn in recent years is that there's a
tool that's right for each job.  Much of the time, Linux isn't it -
especially on the desktop.  This is a far cry from my attitude back in
'98 when I first joined CVALE.

BUT, I will say that in many cases, linux suits me just fine.  I just
don't expect it to work for my mum & dad like it works for me.

Take that article how you will, but the man has a point.
