On  the score of how we might regenerate interest in CVALE....  I wonder if there might be interest in expanding the sphere of interest of CVALE to include all FOSS and related issues.  One reason, I think, that linux users groups have become irrelevant, is because they were, in their day, so successful - linux is decidedly mainstream now compared to then, and much easier to install (and after all, the lifeblood of CVALE and lugs in general were always the "installfest").

I, for one, am much more interested in getting together to learn from you guys about the BSD's, or how to implement Vyatta or Asterisk, or open source programming languages, etc., than I am in linux per se.  We may catch more fish if we cast a wider net.

The only problem is that since this is due, we'd probably need to
register it with that registrar before we can transfer it off to
another registrar.  Most registrars are tightwads like that.
