Hello group,

I need some help with partimage. I have an older PC running my mail
server. I want to upgrade to a new box. The older PC has an IDE drive
with one primary partition at hda1 and an extended partiton devided into
2 partitions, hda5 and hda6 (swap). The new PC has a SATA drive. I've
partitioned the SATA drive similarly to the IDE drive except that the
partitions are sda1, sda5 and sda6. I've used partimage to make images
of 2 of the partitions on the IDE drive and have been able to put the
images on the new SATA drive without any errors. Now when I try to boot
the new PC I get errors about not being able to mount /dev/hda5 and
/dev/hda1 (/boot) does not mount at all. I can manually mount the
partitions and the data is intact. I've changed lilo.conf to call
/dev/sda instead of /dev/hda and I've run lilo -C /etc/lilo.conf to
write the new configuration to the MBR. Nothing seems to get me past the
/dev/hda problems. How can I make this system boot from /dev/sda instead
of /dev/hda?

Thanks,
Rick
